Battlefield Bad Company 2 Glitch?

1/4 of the level the guys could kill me,not sure why it did this maybe it was programed so they wouldn't let me die but its still odd that i couldn't die till the end of the (desert level)which was really cool other then not being able to die, i died so much before that level too!
